Digital Media Camp
An action sports filmmakers dream come true! Surrounded by the best action sports facilities and athletes, we created a program that gives you the opportunity to build your filmmaking skills and knowledge as you experience what it takes to become an expert. Our instructors help guide your passion and the use of our pro gear and studio in the process of filmmaking.
As a digital media camper, your week is based on your individual needs. You also have the opportunity to work with some of the current gear in the industry such as track dollies, jib arms, tri pods, monitors, green screens and audio equipment. When it's time to edit, you'll be assigned an Apple iMac computer and learn the details of Final Cut Pro X editing software. You may also get the opportunity to shoot one-on-one with pro athletes to capture the type of edit you've been dreaming to create. Combine all of these skills and showcase your work in our Friday night Digital Media Camp Arts Festival, where you will also receive a certificate of completion.
Woodward Tahoe just might be the best backdrop imaginable for your creative mind. With top of the line digital equipment, there are no limits to what you can create here at Woodward Tahoe. Get immersed in our Apple iMac computer lab, shoot green screen in the studio, or take your camera to shoot some of the best action sports athletes the world has to offer. With the beautiful Sierra Mountains and sunsets as your backdrop, you can create whatever your mind dreams up.
Summer camp is all about fun and with 35+ additional activities, there's plenty to do if you want to take a break from riding. You can design a custom deck at Create-A-Skate, catapult into Lake Woodward from The Blob, scurry around during a paintball game or even learn a new sport. The options are endless!
Summer camp is a sleepover every night! All campers stay in The Bunkhouse which even has a movie and video game lounge. Each bunkroom is furnished in its own special theme but all have bunkbeds and bathrooms with showers. Campers are placed in bunkrooms based on age and sport. There is a maximum of 11 campers per bunkroom and counselors are present day and night. Believe us, after a long day of camp, your bunk will never look better!
Food, glorious food! Fuel up at the Mess Hall with all-you-can eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. Meals and menus vary daily but always include fresh locally sourced produce. Dinners are a great way to end the day and favorites include Fajita Fridays, Hawaiian Ham and Summer Thanksgiving.
Moondoe's Cafe is snack heaven! It's stocked full of frozen slushies, Red Bulls and other tasty treats.
